Father Daughter Dance

Everybody loves a good father daughter dance. This can often be a very emotional moment during the reception and I just think they're nice in general. Typically, the father daughter dance is right after the first dance during the reception.  The most important thing I can tell you about this is that most father daughter dances are not longer than 2 minutes. That doesn't mean you should pick a song that's two minutes long! It means I'll fade it out.

That's not to say that I'm trying to rush anybody! If you want to dance full length then please by all means. I'm just saying that for most people, fading out the song after around 90 seconds to 2 minutes feels about perfect.

Here's some father daughter songs that I've played in the recent past:

I loved her first - Heartland
Tupelo Honey - Van Morrison
It won't be like this for long - Darius Rucker
I'll be around - The Spinners
Daddy's little girl - Michael Buble
The way you look tonight - Harry Connick Jr.
You've got a friend - James Taylor
Forever young (slow version) - Bob Dylan
What a wonderful world - Louis Armstrong
Unforgettable - Natalie Cole
My girl - The temptations
Landslide - Fleetwood Mac
Stand by me - Ben E King.

These are obviously just some examples! There's tons of good suggestions online. The main thing to consider when choosing a good father daughter dance is just what works best for you!
